Petting the goats; the Hunsuckers & the Strucks
WELCOME TO SLOCOMB, ALABAMA, YA'LL!
Over the weekend, we visited friends, most of them ministry school grads in Slocomb which is located south of Dothan in Alabama. The Hunsuckers have goats, cows, pigs, chickens and a horse - real country living! We had a great time and I enjoyed meeting some new friends. Acts 2 says that the followers of Jesus Christ met "daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." TRUE FELLOWSHIP!

WILLKOMMEN IN SLOCOMB, ALABAMA, IHR ALLE!
Über das Wochenende besuchten wir Freunde, die meisten von ihnen ehemalige Bibelschüler in Slocomb, das südlich von Dothan in Alabama liegt. Die Hunsuckers haben Ziegen, Kühe, Schweine, Hühner und ein Pferd - echtes Landleben! Wir hatten eine großartige Zeit und ich habe es genossen, ein paar neue Feunde zu treffen. Apostelgeschichte 2 sagt, daß die Nachfolger Jesu "täglich einmütig im Tempel verharrten und zu Hause das Brot brachen, Speise mit Jubel und Schlichtheit des Herzens nahmen, Gott lobten und Gunst beim ganzen Volk hatten. Der Herr aber tat täglich hinzu, die gerettet werden sollten." WAHRE GEMEINSCHAFT!
