On May 7, 1997, Pope John Paul II urged all Christians to accept Mary as their mother and said, "The history of Christian piety teaches that Mary is the path the leads to Christ, and that filial devotion to her does not at all diminish intimacy with Jesus, but rather, it increases it and leads it to very high levels of perfection."
MARY AND THE POPE?
Years ago as a new believer, when I read “Foxes Book of Martyrs” by John Foxe, I was shocked to discover how believers in Jesus Christ were burned at the stake because they did not bow down to the Roman Catholic pope. Today, I am again shocked but this time because there are some evangelical Christians who are embracing the Pope and the unbiblical Roman Catholic teachings. Many, including the Dalai Lama who spoke last year in Berlin at a Catholic/Protestant meeting, are encouraging the ecumenical movement. Could this be the apostasy that Paul wrote about: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (2 Thessalonians 2:3) The Amplified Bible says, “Let no one deceive or beguile you in any way, for that day will not come except the apostasy comes first [unless the predicted great falling away of those who have professed to be Christians has come], and the man of lawlessness (sin) is revealed, who is the son of doom (of perdition).” Today, Pope Benedict announced he had authorized the beginning of John Paul's path to sainthood. But what does the Bible teach? The apostle Paul wrote, “Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor 1:2,3) Paul also wrote to the church in Philipi, “Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.” (Phil 4:21,22) LORD JESUS, PLEASE EXPOSE THE LIES SO THAT WE MAY NOT BE DECEIVED IN THESE LAST DAYS!

DEUTSCH
(Phil. 4,21.22) HERR JESUS, BITTE DECKE DIE LÜGEN AUF, SO DAß WIR NICHT VERFÜHRT WERDEN IN DIESEN LETZTEN TAGEN!
